The hotel purchases a large quantity of wine

For the past 20 years, since wine production really took off, Danish winegrowers have struggled with which grape varieties are best to use on these northern edges. Where is the best microclimate and what are the best soil conditions?
The climate and the many experiments mean that Danish winegrowers have relatively high production costs compared to other wine-growing countries around the world. This is also the direct reason why consumers get the feeling that a Danish wine is expensive compared to a foreign wine.

It's not like that anymore.

– Of course, we haven't tasted all Danish wines from the 2016 vintage, but the ones we have tasted here on South Funen from Svendborg Vingaard and Skaarupøre Vingaard are among the best, and they fit perfectly with the gastronomy we create at Hotel Svendborg, says sommelier and restaurant manager, Jan Milton.
Therefore, Hotel Svendborg has purchased a large batch of both wines, which will in the future be available on the wine list in the hotel's restaurant.

– We are picky and critical on behalf of our guests, and it is super important that the wines on our wine list meet the two most important requirements:
1. The wines must suit the guests' tastes
2. The wines must match the gastronomy our chef creates

These wines from South Funen meet both requirements, the restaurant manager believes.
