Take a trip around South Funen with M/S Helge
When you stay at Hotel Svendborg, you don't have to go far to have a day with a little more than city life. From Svendborg Harbour, M/S Helge sails out to Svendborgsund and around to several of the places that are close to Svendborg.
It can be a good way to experience the area – especially if you want to combine a trip on the water with nature, a walk or a stop along the way.
From Svendborg to Troense and Valdemar's Castle
M/S Helge sails to Christiansminde, Troense, Grasten and Valdemars Slot, among other places. Along the way, the trip goes along the coast and close past Tåsinge and Thurø, before the ship returns to Svendborg. You can choose to stay on board and take the entire round trip, which lasts about 2 hours and 30 minutes, or get off along the way and experience the area on foot.
For example, you can get off in Troense and take a walk in the town and along the water or continue to the area around Valdemars Castle. In Christiansminde you can combine the boat trip with a walk along the coast or a break on the beach. If the weather is good, you can also bring your swimsuit in your bag, so that the trip on the water can be combined with a dip or some time at the beach.
An excursion from Hotel Svendborg
M/S Helge is therefore an obvious option if you would like to experience a little more of the area during your stay in Svendborg. You can start the day at the hotel, walk down to the harbor and take the boat on, and later return to Svendborg.
Maybe it will be a trip to Troense, a visit to Valdemar's Castle or just a tour on the water. It's up to you.
